What Curriculum does your High School Offer?

Patricia Morris has said on numerous occasions that whatever curriculum is offered at Ponchatoula High School should also be offered at all the High Schools in the parish.  We decided to take a look at the PHS curriculum.  How does your school compare.

No one begrudges PHS students from getting this curriculum.  The answer is to make sure all students of the parish can access these types of classes.  Fundamental fairness is what is required.  How can the School Board expect the public to stand idly by and allow only a select few students to have doors opened into their future.  We want doors opened to ALL students of the parish.

7 million dollars was spent on PHS in the last 4 years - 7 million.  And a mere $57,000 on Kentwood High.  Parents of Tangipahoa, do you want your children exposed to the world class curriculum that Ponchatoula children get?  We know you do.  This is what Patricia Morris is fighting for.

The plan of the board as it exists presently leaves many loopholes and back doors for "business as usual" to continue in Tangipahoa Parish.  The coveted "unitary status" will unleash the school board's ability to thumb their noses at federal law once again to continue misappropriating money.  The plan as it exists maintains pay-as-you-go funds.  These funds are the very crux of the problem.  We have countless minutes of the school board where Jimmy Richardson literally begs the school board for a roof at Kentwood High School.  Within one set of minutes, the school board pushes back the Kentwood roof (a cost of $300,000) and in the same minutes, approves a Parapet Project (fancy roofline) in the amount of $300,000 for Ponchatoula High school.
